The explosion occurred on the public road on Van Leeuwenhoeklaan. Around 6:00 PM, the police received multiple reports of an explosion. When the police arrived on the scene, several bystanders had detained the suspect at the moment he attempted to flee. The suspect is a 35-year-old man from Exloo and has been arrested by the police. Three victims were injured by the explosion. One victim, a 31-year-old man from Zoetermeer, was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was allowed to go home after the examination. Two victims were in a vehicle at the time of the explosion.
