Around 8:10 AM, officers on the street were informed that a collision with serious injuries had occurred at the intersection of Haarlemmerweg and Limburg van Stirumstraat. They went to the scene and found a severely injured victim and immediately provided first aid. The victim – a cyclist – had been involved in a collision with a car. Police and fire department started resuscitation, after which ambulance personnel took over care. Unfortunately, all medical efforts were in vain and the victim died in the hospital on Thursday, December 18.

The Traffic Investigation Team (OTV) and FO traffic are investigating the cause of the accident.
