Around 10:50 PM, the emergency dispatch center received a call about a car in the water at Machineweg. Officers arrived at the scene and found a vehicle submerged. Fire department divers retrieved the victim from the car and resuscitation efforts were started, after which the woman was transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, all medical assistance was in vain and the victim passed away at the hospital.
Witnesses sought
The Traffic Investigation Team (OTV) and FO Traffic are investigating the cause of the accident. On the evening of Thursday, November 20, a 25-year-old woman from Diemen died in a traffic accident. Her vehicle ended up in the water at Machineweg in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel for unknown reasons.
