At around 08:00, emergency services received a report of a fire at a residence on Dr. C. Hofstede de Grootstraat. This residence is located on the third floor. In the home, the fire department found the seriously injured resident. Another victim was found on a balcony of the residence. Both women were transported to a hospital. Two other residents were assisted by emergency services on the street. They were not transported to a hospital. Shortly after the seriously injured woman was admitted, the 42-year-old victim passed away.

Arrest of Suspect
Witnesses saw a person from the burning house enter a space below the apartment. After investigation, a 19-year-old man was found and arrested there. This man is a resident of the apartment. He is in custody and will be questioned.
