All six arrested suspects hold Dutch nationality. The arrests in the Netherlands involve five men aged between 29 and 37 from Schiedam, Oostvoorne, and Bleiswijk. Additionally, two men residing abroad are involved. The person arrested in Spain is a 61-year-old man living in Marbella. The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are not excluded.
Result
The operation was carried out on Wednesday, January 28, 2025, following an investigation by the National Enforcement and Interventions Unit, under the leadership of the National Public Prosecutors Office. The discovery was made at an industrial estate in Oostvoorne. During the arrest, a large quantity of narcotics was found and seized in a trailer. This includes 857kg of MDMA and 82kg, presumably, of ecstasy pills. Two firearms were also found.
The suspects are detained for questioning, under all restrictions, and will be presented to the examining magistrate in Amsterdam on Friday. The Public Prosecutors Office has requested extradition from Spain.
