The police started an investigation after multiple reports were received against a fraudulent roofer. The victims were approached by the man, claiming that there was something wrong with their roof. They were then required to pay a large sum of money before the roofing work commenced. Subsequently, the roofer did not show up. He also posed as a fake bank employee, victimizing the elderly. The investigation revealed that he had defrauded people across the country, amounting to a total of over €50,000. A total of 31 reports have been made against this suspect to the police.

On Saturday, April 5, the man was arrested in Oosterhout. He has since been presented to the examining magistrate, who decided that he will remain in custody. The police continue the investigation.
