On January 20, a 26-year-old man from Amsterdam was also arrested. He is suspected of playing a facilitating role by lending his car to the other involved parties. That man has since been released but remains part of the ongoing investigation. Last week, a 25-year-old man from Amsterdam was also arrested. He was suspected of being the driver of the vehicle that brought the shooter to Germany. The man was released after questioning but remains a suspect in the investigation.
The shooter, a 15-year-old boy from Hoorn, was previously convicted by the German court. The Dutch police are investigating possible Dutch involvement, suspecting that they persuaded and/or facilitated the convicted boy in committing the shooting incident.
The police continue the investigation and do not rule out multiple arrests.
