Around 8:30 AM on Tuesday morning, October 21, a report was received of a fire in a fish shop. Upon arrival, emergency services saw smoke and employees of neighboring shops were already trying to extinguish the fire. The fire department inspected the shop, surrounding stores, and upstairs residences. Doors had to be broken open in several homes to check for possible fire sources. Investigation revealed that the fire was deliberately set, causing, among other things, smoke damage.
Several witnesses were interviewed at the location. Detectives and Forensic Investigation (FO) arrived for further examination. This investigation eventually led to a suspect, who was arrested today. He remains in custody. For the sake of the investigation, we cannot disclose the suspect’s age or place of residence.
