On the night of Monday, March 17 to Tuesday, March 18, a motorist and a cyclist collided just after 00:30 on Weesperstraat. The motorist likely drove over the bike path where the cyclist was riding towards Rhijnspoorplein. The cyclist fell hard and his bicycle was dragged for quite a distance before the motorist fled the scene. The cyclist was transported to the hospital while being responsive.
