Oisterwijk Family Faces Intruder

A family from Oisterwijk was startled on Wednesday morning, May 21, 2025, when they came face to face with an intruder. The family woke up around 5:45 AM due to the alarm and discovered the man in their home on Gaspeldoornstraat. One of the children saw the intruder in the hallway and began to scream. The intruder quickly fled after breaking some windows. He climbed over the gate and rode off on a bicycle.
The police were immediately alerted and began searching the area. Thanks to a clear description of the man provided by the family, the officers could search effectively. Not long after, they saw a man in the bushes at Burghtweidepad who matched the description. The man was arrested and taken to the police station. Items found in his possession were identified as belonging to the burglary.
The 25-year-old man from Oisterwijk is in custody for further investigation.
