On November 3rd, the police arrested a 46-year-old man from Leeuwarden. He is suspected of committing multiple home burglaries in and around Leeuwarden between January 1, 2024, and November 3, 2025. In the suspects home, the police found jewelry and other valuables believed to be stolen. The police hope to return these items to their rightful owners. These include ladies and mens watches, a coral necklace, several loose diamonds, coins, and banknotes considered collectibles.
These items cannot be linked to the burglaries for which the man was arrested. The police suspect the man may have broken into other addresses as well. It is possible that some burglaries were not reported, or that people did not notice items were taken.
