It happened on Wednesday evening, May 14, around 11:30 PM, that a resident of Nieuwe Houttuinen saw that a man was possibly trying to break into a neighboring apartment. While she reported the burglary, the same man forced his way in, attacked her, and squeezed her throat. Meanwhile, the police were already on their way to the residence and were hit with various household items thrown at them by the suspect. Ultimately, an officer used a stun gun to arrest the man. He is a 22-year-old man without a permanent residence. The woman was understandably very shocked. Police officers and ambulance personnel took care of her.
