At around 1:00 PM, officers from the National Expertise and Operations Unit saw a van driving on the A16 motorway near Dordrecht. The officers decided to stop the vehicle for a general inspection. The officers examined the van and saw that the cargo space had been made smaller with a partition, creating a gap. Upon removing the partition, a large number of bags filled with colored pills were found. The 57-year-old Frenchman was immediately arrested and has been detained for questioning.
Further investigation revealed that the XTC pills had a total weight of over 110 kilograms and it was approximately 1 million pills.
The police are investigating the case.
