On Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 1:50 PM, multiple calls were received reporting a car on the A58 exhibiting very dangerous driving behavior and that the driver was allegedly using nitrous oxide.
Arrest
Using the license plate, the address where the car was registered was traced, and the woman was stopped there. Tests for drugs and alcohol were positive for both. A nitrous oxide cylinder was also found in her car. The suspect, a 25-year-old woman from Middelburg, was arrested and taken to Torentijd. She refused all cooperation. Her drivers license was confiscated, and the public prosecutor will decide on the matter.
