On the evening of Wednesday, January 29, a boy rang the doorbell at the house on Suze Noiretdreef asking for directions to the station. A few minutes later, the doorbell rang again, but this time three suspects were at the door. The resident was pushed inside the house and assaulted by the three suspects. Because the resident started shouting loudly, the suspects fled.

Suspects Identified
Thanks in part to the efforts of the investigative programs Bureau Hengeveld and Opsporing Verzocht, the identities of all three suspects were discovered. One was arrested on April 9 and had to appear before the examining magistrate after his interrogation. The other two suspects were arrested on October 20 and 21. One had to appear before the examining magistrate, and the other was released pending the criminal case. The suspects are a minor at the time of the crime from Zwijndrecht, a 19-year-old from Dordrecht, and a 20-year-old from Papendrecht.
