The operation began on November 6 with the observation of a drug transfer, which immediately led to the arrest of the buyer, a 23-year-old man from the municipality of Stichtse Vecht. Hard drugs were found in his possession. Shortly thereafter, the dealer (a 30-year-old man, also from Stichtse Vecht) was arrested, followed by a search of a residence. During the search, a wide range of hard drugs was found, along with a large amount of cash and luxury branded clothing, all of which were seized. This represents an important blow in the fight against drug crime in the area.

Undermining Crime
This operation marks another important step in our joint efforts to tackle undermining crime. The result underscores the effectiveness of intensive cooperation between various units and partners, and the importance of targeted and decisive interventions in the fight against drug crime.

Approach in the Neighborhood
Drug crime often goes beyond the sale of substances. It affects neighborhoods at their core: money laundering, extortion, exploitation, and violence. This poses a direct threat to the livability and safety of residents.

Undermining is a nationally prioritized theme. In our neighborhood, we also actively address this together with partners. We do this by:

  • taking neighborhood information seriously
  • being visible in the community
  • taking action where necessary
