Police searches occupants of cars who may have been important witnesses to shooting incident Van Ewijcksingel

On November 28, 26-year-old Asham Arafat from Raalte became a victim of a fatal shooting incident. In this investigation into the deadly shooting at Van Ewijcksingel in Meppel, the police are searching for occupants of two vehicles who may have been important witnesses. These are a light blue Volvo V40 and a white Volkswagen Caddy, which were near the scene around the time of the incident. We urge the occupants to come forward.

The police are actively investigating the shooting incident. The detectives have received dozens of tips, all of which are being carefully reviewed.

Light Blue Volvo V40

From the investigation, we have information that a light blue Volvo V40 was parked for some time near Van Ewijcksingel. A few minutes after this vehicle drove away, the shooting incident occurred. The occupants may have seen or heard something related to what happened before the shooting.

White Volkswagen Caddy

We also know from the investigation that shortly before the incident, a delivery van, a white Volkswagen Caddy from model years 2008 to 20210, drove along Van Ewijcksingel. The occupants of this vehicle may also be important witnesses for us.

Two Other Vehicles
