Around 10:30 AM, the police received a report that a suspicious man was seen near the residence. We were searching for him because we had information that he might possess a firearm. As a precaution, part of De Heuvel was cordoned off. The Special Intervention Service (DSI) was deployed to safely enter the apartment complex and the residence. It was thoroughly searched, but the man was not found.
Investigation
At around 12:00 PM, the cordon was lifted and De Heuvel was accessible again. However, an investigation was still conducted in the residence where the suspect is believed to stay. A firearm and a quantity of drugs for trade were found. The firearm is still being tested for authenticity. The police also arrested a man and a woman in the residence. It is suspected that they illegally sublet a space to the wanted suspect. Further investigation into their role is ongoing.
