The police received a report around 1:45 PM that a person was lying injured in the street. The victim was found and taken to the hospital by ambulance.
It emerged that the victim was likely struck with an object. At least two individuals were involved in the assault.

Suspects
Technical and tactical investigations were initiated, leading to two suspects. This pair was arrested Saturday afternoon. They are two men aged 32 and 33 from Venlo and Tegelen, respectively.

Investigation
Despite the arrest of the two suspects, the police investigation is not yet complete. It is unclear what exactly happened at the scene of the incident. An accident occurred in connection with the assault. It is unclear whether this accident happened before or after the assault.
It is also not ruled out that there may have been more individuals involved in the incident.

There may be people who saw what happened at Ulingsheide and/or in the vicinity of the intersection with Kaldenkerkerweg in Tegelen, have information about the timing of the accident, or possess other information that could assist the investigation.
