Robbery and Kidnapping
The 69-year-old man from Gilze was supposed to meet someone at 5:00 PM at a house on Celebeslaan in Eindhoven via a dating site. However, he was ambushed by several boys and forced back into his car. They then drove around Eindhoven for several hours. The perpetrators managed to steal a sum of money and belongings. They subsequently left the victim in his car and fled.
Investigation
In 2024, attention was given to this case through multiple channels via a witness call, including social media, Bureau Brabant, and Opsporing Verzocht. Over the past eight months, the detectives have conducted thorough investigations that resulted in five arrests. The fifth arrest took place yesterday, Wednesday, April 23, in Eindhoven. All five suspects were minors at the time of their arrest. They are boys from Eindhoven aged 18, 17, 15, and 14 years. The suspects have since been released, partly due to their age and further investigation, but remain suspects in the case.
