Concerned Resident Follows Gut Feeling
Two weeks earlier, a resident had a gut feeling about a suspicious situation involving a delivery van in s-Graveland. The resident reported this to a municipal enforcement officer. Following this report, the police initiated an investigation. On Tuesday afternoon, May 20, this investigation led to the police being able to seize the relevant delivery van. The van was taken to the police station. At the station, it turned out that there were as many as 40 nitrous oxide cylinders in the van.
Pursuit through Hilversum
Following the discovery of these nitrous oxide cylinders, the police went to the suspects house in Hilversum East. The suspect seemed to sense trouble and immediately fled the house with a shopping bag in hand. After an extensive pursuit and search in the neighborhood, including with a police helicopter, the 25-year-old resident of Hilversum was found in a garden. He was arrested. The police found the shopping bag on his escape route. The bag contained a large quantity of hard drugs and a significant amount of cash. During the search of the suspects taxi, even more hard drugs were found. The police seized the taxi, the delivery van, the hard drugs, and the cash. The detectives are conducting further investigation into the case.
