On Sunday, April 27, around midnight, there was a short chase involving a vehicle. Officers saw the vehicle parked in Oudenbosch. When they drove past, two men dove into the car and the car drove away. The officers decided to check the vehicle and gave a stop signal shortly after midnight. However, the driver decided not to stop. Not even when the officers turned on their blue lights to attract attention. Eventually, they ended up on the A17, where a second police car began to drive in front of the vehicle. However, the car still did not stop. On the highway, various packages were thrown out of the car. Several police cars joined the chase and eventually managed to stop the car. The four men, aged 18 and 19, all from the municipality of Halderberge, were arrested.
Police officers later searched the highway for the discarded goods. These turned out to be bags of drugs. The four men also had narcotics in their possession. This was seized and the men are held in the police cell for questioning and further investigation. The driver also received 3 fines for ignoring a stop signal, not using a turn signal, and driving over a point piece. Two passengers also received a fine for not having their identification with them.
