Investigation
The detectives from the Gooi and Vechtstreek came across the production site in an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking. Earlier in this investigation, several individuals were arrested who were possibly used as drug couriers. The detectives continued the investigation and identified an address where drugs might be produced.
Tens of thousands of ecstasy pills and kilos of MDMA
On Monday, September 29, the police decided to enter the business premises in Uithoorn. Inside, they found an estimated 35,000 ecstasy pills and kilos of MDMA. Professional equipment such as a tablet press was also present. There is a suspicion that this is a production site for ecstasy. The location has been dismantled and all items are being seized for further (evidence) investigation. The drugs will be destroyed.
Two arrests
Two men from Hilversum are suspected of being involved in this production site. They were arrested on Monday with the help of the Support Group from The Hague. These are a 32-year-old man and a 34-year-old man from Hilversum.
