On Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2:10 AM, multiple reports came in from the migrant worker housing on Rijksweg. Witnesses reported that a man was assaulting a woman and dragging her into a house. One witness reportedly saw a firearm and another heard threats being made with it.

Several patrol units rushed to the houses after putting on heavy vests due to the presence of a firearm. The man and woman involved were inside one of the houses at the time. After calling out, the door was opened and the suspect stood in the doorway. He was ordered to come outside and show his hands. When he did not respond, the officer fired a warning shot. The suspect came outside and was arrested. He is a 38-year-old man of Portuguese nationality. The victim had minor injuries and did not want to file a report. Despite this, the suspect was taken to the station and a police report will be filed against him. A search for the possible pistol was conducted but it was not found.
