Holding your mobile phone while driving is not allowed. You think: sending that text, looking up an address in the navigation, or changing a song is quick to do. Yet at those moments, you are not paying attention to the traffic. You have plenty of other things to pay attention to: Think of: traffic signs, the route, the people you are talking to, and other road users. So for your safety and that of others: dont get distracted.
Tips to Avoid Distraction
- Put your phone in your bag. Or at least somewhere you cant easily reach it.
- Turn off your notifications. Or set your phone to do not disturb. And set this to automatic while driving or at fixed times in your calendar. There are also apps that can help.
- Use hands-free solutions if you want to call or use your phone for navigation.
