The man threatened a hotel employee with a firearm around 5:55 PM that Tuesday and demanded money from the safe. He then fled with a sum of money, leaving the victim shocked behind. Since then, there has been no trace.

The robbery was captured by a camera, and those images were shown on July 15 in the broadcast of Opsporing Verzocht. This led to several tips, one of which resulted in the recognition of the suspect.
