It was Friday afternoon around 3:00 PM when the report came in that someone had been stabbed. It turned out to be a 17-year-old boy. He was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds by emergency transport. At that moment, he was responsive.
Officers who quickly arrived on the Grote Beerstraat immediately began an investigation into the suspect(s) in the area. Shortly thereafter, they arrested three boys. These are three boys from Zwijndrecht, two aged 18 and one aged 17. Their role is under investigation.
We are investigating what exactly happened that afternoon and what the cause of the stabbing incident was. Several people were present on the street when the victim was treated. Therefore, victim assistance has been arranged for bystanders who need it.
