Drug Production Site
The police suspected that drugs might be produced at the address in Soest. On Tuesday, December 2, they decided to enter the building. In a container near the building, the police found a production site for synthetic drugs. The police discovered tens of kilos of pills and kilos of other drugs. The National Dismantling Facility (LFO) of the police arrived to dismantle the location. All narcotics were seized and will be destroyed.
Assets Seized: Crime Does Not Pay!
Besides the drugs, the police also seized cash, a jet ski, and a horse trailer. Seizing criminal money or goods is an important part of the fight against crime. Money is often the driving force, motive, and proceeds of nearly all crime. By confiscating criminally obtained assets, the police, Public Prosecution Service, and partners hit criminals where it hurts most: their wallets.
The police made two arrests. A 43-year-old and a 64-year-old man from Soest are in custody. More arrests are not excluded. The municipality has closed the building for three weeks.
Always Report Suspicious Situations!
Drug laboratories and storage sites pose a great risk in residential areas and business parks. Not only the production process but also the storage of chemical substances is dangerous. Additionally, buildings where drugs are stored, cut, or traded attract criminals and violence. Help stop the violence and report suspicious situations. Do you regularly see strange people coming and going at odd hours? Are there frequently changing visitors at unusual times? Are the windows always covered with curtains, and is it unclear who lives there? Then it could be a drug house.
You know your neighborhood best. If you see strange or suspicious situations, always report them to the police. You can call 0900-8844. Prefer to remain anonymous? Contact the Crime Anonymous Reporting service online at https://www.meldmisdaadanoniem.nl/ or call 0800-7000.
