Attempted Manslaughter in Zaandam

At 19:36, the driver of a vehicle on Provincialeweg refused to cooperate with a stop. Due to his suspicious driving behavior, police officers wanted to administer a drug test. Instead of cooperating, the driver drove into an officer. Fortunately, the officer managed to jump away just in time. After a chase, the suspect, a 21-year-old from Amsterdam, was arrested for attempted manslaughter. He also received several fines and his drivers license was confiscated.

Attempted Aggravated Assault in Badhoevedorp

Less than an hour later, on Rijstvogelstraat in Badhoevedorp, the driver of a motorcycle refused to cooperate with a stop. The driver drove into an officer and fled. The officer was injured in the leg. After a short search, the driver was arrested. The minor is suspected of attempted aggravated assault. How he obtained the motorcycle is also part of the investigation.
