On Wednesday evening, the police received a report that shots were fired in the vicinity of Tiberiasstraat/Jerichoplein in Maastricht. No one was injured in this shooting incident.

At the scene, it became clear that there had been a conflict. Multiple suspects were involved in the incident. Later investigations revealed that one of the suspects had indeed been injured in the head during the conflict. In addition to a general call for witnesses, the police requested extra attention on Thursday.

The police investigation, including into the other suspects, continues unabated.
