After an (anonymous) tip, the police started an investigation some time ago into a possible cannabis farm under a shop building. When the police entered today, it turned out that there was indeed a large-scale cannabis farm with more than 300 plants. All plants have been seized and will be destroyed, along with all equipment. The 45-year-old man who was present at the farm has been arrested on suspicion of involvement. Further investigation will reveal what role he had.
Keep Crime Out of Your Neighborhood
This farm also came to light thanks to a report. The police again call on the public to report suspicious situations in their neighborhood. This is important because cannabis farms create an unsafe neighborhood. Due to the often illegal installations for cannabis cultivation, there is a serious danger to fire safety. Damage to buildings can also occur due to water damage, odors, and mold formation. Cannabis cultivation is often linked to other forms of organized crime and can be accompanied by violence and extortion.
