That evening, around 11:00 PM, the control room received a report that a large group of people was fighting. This fight reportedly started in the Vondelpark and continued onto the Max Euweplein. The cause of the fight and how many people were involved is not known. However, it is clear that four people sustained injuries. They include a 34-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy from Amsterdam, a 15-year-old girl from Amsterdam, and a 16-year-old boy from Haarlem. The 15-year-old girl was transported to the hospital for treatment. She has since been discharged from the hospital. The other three were able to continue their way after treatment from paramedics on-site.
In the vicinity of the Max Euweplein, a 20-year-old woman from Amersfoort and a 19-year-old woman without a known permanent residence were arrested. Their involvement in this incident is under investigation. As there is still much unclear, the detectives would like to speak with witnesses. An investigation is being conducted into the footage recorded by surveillance cameras, but if people have made recordings of the incident with their mobile phones, the detectives would also like to review those.
