Following the anonymous tip, the police went to the home to conduct a search. In the first bedroom, a box of category F2 fireworks was found. Further on, in the second bedroom, another box of fireworks of the same category was discovered. In the closet were various types of fireworks, including three shells in a plastic bag. Foil-like cylinders with fuses were also found in a paper bag.
Significant amount of illegal fireworks found
The police took the fireworks downstairs, after which a specialist fireworks transport employee was called to collect them. Upon arrival, the employee took photos of the fireworks and indicated that the foil-like cylinders could not be transported due to the unknown composition of the fireworks. The Explosives Safety Team will later collect the fireworks at the police station and detonate them.
Official report being drawn up
Given the amount of fireworks found, a HALT settlement is not possible. Nearly 30 kilos of fireworks were seized. An official report is being drawn up. The police are continuing their investigation.
