According to witnesses, there was a conflict between two men on Zomerstraat in Tilburg. Officers rushed to the location. On the way, the police were informed that the involved persons fled towards Schouwburgring. The police received a clear description of the suspect. When officers saw the man walking, he was immediately arrested. The 36-year-old man from Tilburg is still in custody and is being questioned.
Resuscitation
At approximately the same time, all emergency services were dispatched by the control room to a resuscitation call. Upon the polices arrival, ambulance personnel were already performing resuscitation. Unfortunately, the 51-year-old man passed away despite the efforts of the emergency responders. The cause of death is not yet known.
Police investigation later revealed that the victim may have been the other person involved in the earlier conflict on Zomerstraat. The investigation is ongoing.
