On November 25 and 26, 2024, two explosives detonated at the Red Cross Hospital. On February 24, 2025, a 39-year-old man without a fixed residence was arrested for this. The court has since sentenced him to two years in prison and ordered him to pay damages exceeding 40,000 euros.
On January 12, 2025, another explosion occurred at the same hospital. For this explosion, the police arrested a 37-year-old man from Beverwijk on January 15, 2025. He will have to answer to the court at a later date.
Connection
The police previously reported that they assume a connection between these explosions. The 34-year-old man from Heemskerk is suspected of ordering the three explosions. The Kennemerland detective unit continues the investigation.
