At around 04:30, the 18-year-old victim from De Lier was hit by a car. The driver of the car and possibly other passengers fled the scene. The victim was helped by bystanders and taken to the hospital in serious condition. There he died from his injuries.
Not long after, the police found the car involved in De Lier with four occupants. All four were arrested. They are men aged 18, 19, 20, and 23 from The Hague.
