Through Meld Misdaad Anoniem, the neighborhood officer received signals that drugs might be dealt in Monnickendam. This prompted the police to discreetly set up an operation with several officers. On Monday, September 23, at 1:45 PM, they had a tip. It was observed that a small envelope (wrap) was being passed from hand to hand from a car. A 21-year-old man from Purmerend was arrested on the spot. A car and a residence were searched, and a bag of hash and several wraps were found. The wraps, presumably hard drugs, are being examined. These items have been seized and the investigation is ongoing.
