At around 7:10 PM, a young man entered the store and asked an employee if he could use the restroom. The young woman accompanied him, but the atmosphere changed in the storage room. The employee was forced under threat of a weapon to open the safe, after which the man fled with cash among other things.

Based on the initial investigation, the police quickly found a link to The Hague and Zoetermeer. In the program Opsporing Verzocht and Team West – the regional investigation program on Omroep West – images of the suspect were shown, leading to multiple tips. This information contributed to the suspects arrest. The investigation team would like to thank everyone who provided information. The suspect is in custody and will be heard.
