At around 7:00 PM, a report of a robbery was received from the Korreweg in Groningen, to which officers responded. At the Korreweg, officers found the injured victim. The incident reportedly occurred at the West Indian Quay. Investigations indicate that a robbery took place during which the victim was also assaulted and stabbed. The victim, a 37-year-old man from Arnhem, was taken to the hospital.

Arrest
The suspected perpetrators fled in a car. Based on a license plate, the police were able to arrest a suspected perpetrator shortly thereafter near Drachten. He is in custody and being interrogated about his role and possible involvement in the incident. This involves an 18-year-old man from Drachten. The police do not rule out additional arrests.

Investigation
The further circumstances of the stabbing incident are under investigation. The police are speaking with possible witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage, which may show something suspicious. Additionally, forensic investigations have been conducted.
