Two men and a woman committed a burglary on Friday, August 1, in a house on Druivenstraat in Leiden. Thanks to a covertly placed camera, the trio was captured clearly on video while they searched the living room of the house. At the moment the female suspect noticed the camera, the three left.
Thanks to the camera footage, the woman was recognized by an officer. They were then placed in the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system with the car she was likely driving. This led to the arrest of the woman on Wednesday, October 2, when she was randomly checked.
The 20-year-old French woman has been arrested and detained for questioning. The investigation into her two accomplices continues unabated.
