At around 6:00 PM, a report of an armed robbery in Waalre came in. Two men reportedly entered the store with a knife and, as it turns out, a fake firearm. They threatened the store staff and after grabbing cash from the register, they fled. Arriving officers immediately split up in the neighborhood to start a search for the two robbers. The suspects were not found at that time.
Investigation Leads to Arrests
The detectives investigated the case and on Tuesday, April 15, arrested two suspects. They are a 15-year-old boy from Valkenswaard and an 18-year-old boy from Waalre. They have been detained and are being questioned. On Thursday, they will be presented to a examining magistrate who will decide whether they will remain in custody longer.
