On Sunday, May 25, a fire broke out around 4:50 AM in a residence in Almere. The fire department arrived quickly and managed to prevent the fire from spreading further. The fire was also extinguished. As a precaution, the residents of surrounding apartments were temporarily evacuated and accommodated elsewhere.
Investigations then revealed that drugs were being prepared or processed in the residence. Officers found several jerrycans and drug paraphernalia, leading to the suspicion of a drug laboratory. The investigation into the suspect was initiated. He was eventually arrested on Tuesday, September 9, and detained for questioning. He will be presented to the examining magistrate on Friday, September 12. The investigation into his possible involvement is ongoing.
