Witnesses saw two vehicles leaving after the shooting incident. Whether these vehicles are related to the incident is under investigation. The police conducted an investigation at the parking lot and spoke with several witnesses. Various camera footage was also reviewed. This investigation led to the arrest on December 23 of a 24-year-old man from Rotterdam and a 25-year-old man (unknown residence).

Two arrests after shooting incident at Van der Waalsweg parking lot in Barendrecht

On Sunday evening, December 21, around 7:00 PM, multiple shots were heard at a fast food restaurant parking lot in Barendrecht. Several people were involved in the shooting incident. On Tuesday, December 23, two suspects were arrested. Their role in the shooting is under investigation.
