Staff at the office reported on Friday, March 21, that the man had called the office eleven times that day, during which he made threats. After a report was made, the investigation began. On the same day, a prosecutor granted permission to arrest the man outside of the act. Due to the potential danger, the suspect was arrested by a special team in his home. He has been detained for questioning and will be brought before a commissioner of the court on Monday, March 24.
Safe Public Duty
The police do not tolerate verbal or physical violence against law enforcement officers, police, emergency responders, government personnel, and others with a public duty and will take decisive action against it. Anyone who commits aggression or violence against an employee with a public duty must be swiftly and severely punished. It has been agreed with the Public Prosecution Service that the penalty demand for violence against employees with a public duty is always increased. Click here for more information.
