Together with our integrated safety partners, including the administrative intervention teams of the municipality of Eindhoven (BITE) and De Kempen (KIT), we tackled undermining practices, increased awareness and resilience, expanded our network, and gathered information. This is how we combat and disrupt undermining crime. Various police specialists participated in the action, such as an intervention team focused on countering criminal interference in the logistics sector. Units from the National Expertise and Operations Unit (LX/LO) were also active during the undermining days.

Arrests, discovery of large sums of cash, and finding narcotics

Several individuals were arrested during a traffic stop for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Fines were issued for various offenses such as driving without a license and technical defects in the vehicle. A compressed gas weapon and a hidden compartment were also found in a vehicle.

A large amount of cash was found in a car. The driver could not provide a logical explanation for the origin of the money found. The man was arrested on suspicion of money laundering. In another vehicle, boxes containing dried cannabis buds were found in the trunk. This discovery provided sufficient grounds for a house search. Several kilos of dried cannabis buds and 450 cannabis plants were found in this house.

It became clear during an administrative inspection that storage units are not only used for storing legal items. In one unit, several items used for professional cannabis cultivation were found. These goods represent a value of 100,000 EUR. In another garage unit, 110 full laughing gas cylinders were stored. All these items were seized and will be destroyed.
