The police received a report on Friday, October 10, around 21:00 that a person on a scooter was shooting in the air at Healwei in Opeinde. No one was injured. We immediately sent multiple units to the scene. Additionally, the Special Intervention Service (DSI) was called in to assist with the arrest.
At a residence on Oerdwars, a suspect was arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm. This concerns a 45-year-old man from Opeinde. He is in custody and being interrogated. We also seized a starter pistol.
