The jeweler was robbed that day by two individuals. One of these persons pointed a firearm or firearm-like object at the owner. Several display cases were damaged. No one was injured. The suspects fled with stolen goods. The police immediately launched an investigation. This investigation included forensic research in and around the jewelers shop. Additionally, CCTV footage was reviewed, witnesses were interviewed, and an online witness appeal was issued. This investigation led to the arrest of these three suspects this week.

Multiple arrests

Two suspects, minor boys from Appingedam and Groningen, were arrested last Tuesday. They were presented to the examining magistrate today and will remain in custody for 14 more days. Yesterday, the police arrested a third suspect and searched a residence. This concerns an 18-year-old man from Groningen. He is in custody, being interrogated, and will be presented to the examining magistrate tomorrow.

During the search, data carriers were seized for further investigation. Additionally, we have presumably found part of the stolen goods.
