Victim Dead
The police received a report of a stabbing incident around 08:10 this morning. Emergency services found the victim seriously injured in the garden. Assistance was immediately initiated, but it was to no avail. The victim died in the garden. We are currently investigating what exactly happened.
Suspect Fled
The suspect has a slender build, is short in stature, and was wearing black clothing and a black balaclava. The suspect fled after the incident through the neighbors garden to the Keulsebaan. This is the main road between Roermond and the German border. The police are calling on motorists with a dashcam who were driving on the Keulsebaan between 07:30 and 08:30 to come forward.
Investigation
All technical and tactical resources are currently being deployed. The helicopter is supporting the search. Additionally, drones and search dogs are also being used. Forensic teams are investigating in and around the residence.
