On Friday, July 11, 2025, a team enters a building on MR. F.J. Haarmanweg. Information had come in that raw materials (chemicals) were stored in that building for drug production. A name was also mentioned of the person who might have stored it there.

Raid

Police specialists entered the building late in the afternoon. They found more than 3000 liters of various substances. The suspect is not present. The National Facility for Dismantling of the police arrives on site. These are the specialists in this field who ensure that the substances can be safely removed. A member of this team stated: “the substances found are highly flammable and due to the way they were stored, a significant danger has arisen.”

Arrest

The 66-year-old suspect was arrested later that evening. He turns out to have several years of prison time pending, which he can now serve. The municipality of Terneuzen has been informed of our findings and may take measures regarding the property.
