The police tracked down the suspect after extensive investigation. He was arrested on Wednesday, December 17, in Muntendam.
Explosions at Troelstrastraat and J. Kazemierstraat
The first explosion the man is suspected of occurred on October 11 at Troelstrastraat in Veendam. The front door and part of the interior of the house were damaged by heavy fireworks. The other explosion the man is suspected of took place on Sunday morning, October 19, around 6:30 AM. Heavy fireworks were also used at a house on J. Kazemierstraat in Veendam, breaking a window of the house.
